Vote on Your Favorite Version: Nearer My God to Thee
I want everyone to feel like they can voice their opinion on our blog. I hope you all feel free to leave comments, spark conversations, and make suggestions. Also, I’ve been sort of feeling like I’m just talking to myself lately…so comments are good. I’ll feel a little less monologue-ish that way (not that I don’t appreciate the sound of my own voice).
So to start us off on what I hope will be a great conversation, I am inviting everyone to come and vote on your favorite version of the hymn “Nearer My God to Thee”. There are two options, watch/listen to both, and then leave your vote in the comment section of this post!
The first option is by The Piano Guys, played on nine cellos:
The next video is from BYU’s Vocal Point a cappella group:
So, now it’s your turn to make some noise – I know it’s a hard choice (because they are both AMAZING), but I really want to know, which song did you like better?

I love both of these versions! I like the music in the Piano Guys video better, but I LOVE the words to this song, so I am going to have to vote for the Vocal Point (By the way, on my email that I got about the post, I was able to see the right video, but when I pulled up the post on the blog to leave a comment, the link was not to Nearer My God to Thee, but for the Piano Guys on the streets of New York. Just FYI.)
