Designed to Inspire, Motivate and Educate
Our world class presenters and performers come from a variety of backgrounds but each has something unique and special to share with the women of the world today.
Through the combination of music, education and personal stories this motivational program strives to touch and inspire women. The focus of our music and messages is on the application of positive principles which can assist anyone to reach greater heights, achieve their dreams or simply overcome a difficult day.
Each presentation on its own is powerful but like different instruments in a symphony, when these presentations are combined they become a powerful symphony for the soul that is life changing.
This program brings together women desiring to better their lives, their relationships, their families and the world as a whole. Through the empowering experiences shared at these programs bonds and friendships are formed which can last a lifetime.
In the meantime, check out this video about having courage and comparing modern women with Esther in Biblical times.

Vote on Your Favorite Version: Nearer My God to Thee
1I want everyone to feel like they can voice their opinion on our blog. I hope you all feel free to leave comments, spark conversations, and make suggestions. Also, I’ve been sort of feeling like I’m just talking to myself lately…so comments are good. I’ll feel a little less monologue-ish that way (not that I don’t appreciate the sound of my own voice).
So to start us off on what I hope will be a great conversation, I am inviting everyone to come and vote on your favorite version of the hymn “Nearer My God to Thee”. There are two options, watch/listen to both, and then leave your vote in the comment section of this post!
The first option is by The Piano Guys, played on nine cellos:
The next video is from BYU’s Vocal Point a cappella group:
So, now it’s your turn to make some noise – I know it’s a hard choice (because they are both AMAZING), but I really want to know, which song did you like better?
Free Printable: Worthy Music
0I like to keep a frame on the wall in my hallway where I switch out printables according to my mood. It’s great to have something cute or uplifting to walk past every day. And it’s really fun being able to change the printable in the frame whenever I feel like it.
This is what will be featured in my hallway starting this weekend:
Get this free printable (brought to you by yourLDSradio and Green Jello with Carrots) by simply clicking the picture above. It features a quote by Russell M. Nelson and says “Worthy music has the power to persuade”.
I think it wants to hang on your wall too.

Glorious
Written by Stephanie Mabey, Performed by Russ Dixon
There are times when you might feel aimless
And can’t see the places where you belong
But you will find that there is a purpose
It’s been there within you all along
And when you’re near it
You can almost hear it
It’s like a symphony just keep listening
And pretty soon you’ll start to figure out your part
Everyone plays a piece and there are melodies
In each one of us, oh, it’s glorious
You will know how to let it ring out
As you discover who you are
Others around you will start to wake up
To the sounds that are in their hearts
It’s so amazing
What we’re all creating
It’s like a symphony just keep listening
And pretty soon you’ll start to figure out your part
Everyone plays a piece and there are melodies
In each one of us, oh, it’s glorious
And as you feel, the notes build, you will see
It’s like a symphony just keep listening
And pretty soon you’ll start to figure out your part
Everyone plays a piece and there are melodies
In each one of us, oh, it’s glorious

EFY 2012 CD – Available Before EFY – for the First Time Ever
0EFY is a rite of passage for the LDS youth. The dances, the friends, hugs and yes, the music. Even as a missionary I listened to an EFY CD almost every day. The songs are uplifting and tend to focus on building up your sense of self and being loved. This EFY CD is no different. And for the first time ever, you can buy the EFY 2012 CD or downloads BEFORE EFY begins. Until this year you had to wait until after EFY begun to hear it.
Sometimes music is the only way we can reach our youth. They’ll listen to the words of a song and let the message sink into their hearts even when they tune out the words of their parents.
The songs are original songs written just for this CD. My favorite songs are Glorious (link goes to the lyrics), I Feel my Savior’s Love (sung in a way you’ve never heard that is so lilting and pure) and See it in Everyone. Glorious was written by Stephanie Mabey and sung by Russ Dixon. You can listen to samples here.
“There are times when you might feel aimless…but you will find there is a purpose…and when you’re near it you can almost hear it…
It’s like a symphony, just keep listening…there are melodies in each one of us, oh it’s glorious.”
David Osmond sings the title track, Arise and Shine Forth. It’s inspired by the scripture in Doctrine and Covenants 115:5 – “Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations.” Two of the songs were written or sung by missionaries just before they left for their missions.
We think the EFY 2012 makes the ideal gift for the graduating senior, missionaries, or before sending your kids off to college (we won’t tell if you’re over 30 and listen to it in the car). The EFY CD has songs that are an uplifting alternative to what you hear on the radio. Speaking of radio – the songs from the CD are being played right now on yourLDSradio. You can listen to online or on our official iPhone or Android app. We hope you love it as much as we do.
Be sure to LIKE yourLDSradio on Facebook for a chance to win an EFY CD. In the meantime, check out EFYMusic.com for sheet music and past year’s EFY CDs.
Have you heard the new EFY 2012 CD? What did you think? We want to know. Leave your answer in the comments!
