EFY 2012 Glorious Lyrics

Glorious

Written by Stephanie Mabey, Performed by Russ Dixon

There are times when you might feel aimless

And can’t see the places where you belong

But you will find that there is a purpose

It’s been there within you all along

And when you’re near it

You can almost hear it

It’s like a symphony just keep listening
And pretty soon you’ll start to figure out your part
Everyone plays a piece and there are melodies
In each one of us, oh, it’s glorious
You will know how to let it ring out

As you discover who you are

Others around you will start to wake up

To the sounds that are in their hearts

It’s so amazing

What we’re all creating

It’s like a symphony just keep listening
And pretty soon you’ll start to figure out your part
Everyone plays a piece and there are melodies
In each one of us, oh, it’s glorious

And as you feel, the notes build, you will see

It’s like a symphony just keep listening
And pretty soon you’ll start to figure out your part
Everyone plays a piece and there are melodies
In each one of us, oh, it’s glorious

EFY 2012 CD – Available Before EFY – for the First Time Ever

0

EFY is a rite of passage for the LDS youth. The dances, the friends, hugs and yes, the music. Even as a missionary I listened to an EFY CD almost every day. The songs are uplifting and tend to focus on building up your sense of self and being loved. This EFY CD is no different. And for the first time ever, you can buy the EFY 2012 CD or downloads BEFORE EFY begins. Until this year you had to wait until after EFY begun to hear it.

Sometimes music is the only way we can reach our youth. They’ll listen to the words of a song and let the message sink into their hearts even when they tune out the words of their parents.

The songs are original songs written just for this CD. My favorite songs are Glorious (link goes to the lyrics), I Feel my Savior’s Love (sung in a way you’ve never heard that is so lilting and pure) and See it in Everyone. Glorious was written by Stephanie Mabey and sung by Russ Dixon. You can listen to samples here.

“There are times when you might feel aimless…but you will find there is a purpose…and when you’re near it you can almost hear it…
It’s like a symphony, just keep listening…there are melodies in each one of us, oh it’s glorious.”

David Osmond sings the title track, Arise and Shine Forth. It’s inspired by the scripture in Doctrine and Covenants 115:5 – “Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations.” Two of the songs were written or sung by missionaries just before they left for their missions.

We think the EFY 2012 makes the ideal gift for the graduating senior, missionaries, or before sending your kids off to college (we won’t tell if you’re over 30 and listen to it in the car). The EFY CD has songs that are an uplifting alternative to what you hear on the radio. Speaking of radio – the songs from the CD are being played right now on yourLDSradio. You can listen to online or on our official iPhone or Android app. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Be sure to LIKE yourLDSradio on Facebook for a chance to win an EFY CD. In the meantime, check out EFYMusic.com for sheet music and past year’s EFY CDs.

Big Announcement: Pianist William Joseph Has New CD of Hymns Coming Soon

1

Famed pianist William Joseph has a new album! This album is his first of sacred music.

Last year William made the Classical Crossover Charts at #19. Here’s what they had to say about him:
“The pianist discovered by David Foster is nothing short of jaw-dropping. If his compositions are not melodic and stunning enough, you can spend your time staring in awe at the blur of fingers and hands that race up and down the keyboard. Although he dabbles with the odd cover, Joseph mostly does his own thing.”

Jesus Christ – Prince of Good Things to Come

0

Sometimes it’s hard to believe that life will get better. I like to read stories of famous or respected people talk about a time when they needed hope and life was difficult for them. In Hebrew 9:11 it says that Jesus Christ is “an priest of good things to come.” It goes well with this quote from Dieter F. Uchtdorf. Jesus Christ knows what it’s like to go through bleak times and He is there to help. No matter what we go through now, there’s a bright future for His followers.

On the yourLDSradio Facebook Page we asked our fans to describe Jesus Christ in ONE WORD. How would you describe Jesus Christ? Let us know in the comments or click the link to tell us on Facebook.
