Pumpkin Slices with Glaze Recipe

I like to have a special breakfast on Thanksgiving day that kind of goes along with the whole pumpkin-y/fallish theme, and this recipe for Pumpkin Slices with Glaze is perfect!  In fact, we might just be snacking on it up until the big Thanksgiving meal.

The recipe is pretty easy and uses some of my favorite spices.  The glaze calls for rum flavoring but, between you and me, I’m just using a teaspoon of vanilla extract instead.

Spider Dip Bowl: Rhodes Recipes

What could be spookier than a bread bowl that looks like a spider?  We love this Halloween treat because it’s cute, a little creepy, and super delicious.

You can get the recipe for this Spider Dip Bowl (with removable breadstick legs from Rhodes.  It’s not too hard to make, and your friends and family will love it!

Recipes that use apples and fall spices make appearances in my best dreams.  That’s why I love this recipe for Apple Strudel Pull-Apart Dessert using Rhodes rolls.  It’s easy and sweetly delicious.

This recipe doesn’t include many ingredients and comes together really quickly.  And you can top it with icing for that extra kick of sweet.

Rhodes Recipe: Dog in a Dog

I absolutely love funny food.  (Once I made snails for my son’s preschool class out of pickles and deli wraps.  I have no idea if they tasted good, but they looked slimy and awesome!)  Because of this, I adore this week’s recipe from Rhodes.  They call it Dog in a Dog.

This recipe gets it’s name from the hot dog in the middle, and is basically just a “pig in a blanket” recipe.  But when your meal looks like a dog, it makes eating SO MUCH COOLER.  If you don’t believe me, then just as a 3 year old – they’ll tell you I’m right.

Rhodes Recipe: Texas Breakfast Roll Up

While most members of my family are cold cereal fanatics, sometimes we just need a hot and fulfilling breakfast.  This Texas Breakfast Roll Up recipe is just the hearty meal I’ve been looking for.

With sausage, mushrooms, onions, mozzarella cheese, and more yummy ingredients, this roll up would make a delicious saturday morning meal.  Or make it for brunch (which is what we call breakfast when we all “accidentally” sleep in really late).

I’m not really sure if you can count this as a well balanced breakfast, but WHO CARES?  Every once in awhile you just need to sit down and enjoy a steaming plate of Cinnamon Roll Waffles.  And the Maple Cream Cheese Syrup recipe that’s included is pretty much heaven sent.

These waffles are really easy to make, you just need to have some thawed cinnamon rolls (just make sure they’re still cold so they’re easier to use).

Seeing as my children think that all food items associated with the word healthy are poison,  I’m always looking for creative ways to use veggies.  This recipe for a Garden Salad Pizza is perfect.  (Especially when you really emphasize the PIZZA part.)

This is great served cold, so you can even make a few crusts ahead of time and throw the veggies on for a quick dinner.

For the love of all things yum, this CinnaBerry Bread recipe is golden.  It combines two of my very favorite things: cinnamon rolls and berries.  I’m pretty sure these will never be associated with the words “left-overs”.

The recipe is easy to follow and there isn’t a lengthy rising period, which is nice.  Just thaw out the cinnamon rolls and finish putting the ingredients together while they’re still cold.

Easy Dinner Roll Recipe

You know how much we love Rhodes Rolls, but we realize that they aren’t available world wide.  We’ve had some requests for an easy roll dough recipe to substitute in the Rhodes ideas we post each week, and I’ve found a really great (and super easy) one that I think will work great!

Of course I recommend using Rhodes when possible (because they’re so tasty and easy) but if you find yourself without some, try this roll recipe found on food.com

Rhodes Recipe: Curly Dogs

I don’t know if it’s just me, but sometimes I wait way too long to start dinner and suddenly I’m only left with about 30 minutes to get something edible on the table.  (Please tell me I’m not the only dinner procrastinator here.)  So i’m starting a new habit where I just get some Rhodes Rolls out of the freezer in the morning so that when it comes time to frantically throw a dinner together I have an arsenal of quick and yummy recipe ideas to choose from.

Recipes like this take on the ole’ pig in a blanket, the Curly Dogs.  They’re super quick, my kids will eat them, and when I make them with all natural turkey hot dogs I feel good about serving a healthy meal.
